In an historic process, a first time for the House of Representatives, motions were moved to disallow the Murray Darling Basin Plan, now government law.
Sharman Stone, Member for Murray and Michael McCormack, Member for the Riverina, together moved the disallowance motion, knowing the overwhelming majority were against them.

The Water Amendment (Water for the Environment Special Account) Bill 2012 is about to become law.
