Dwindling enrolments in Agricultural Education courses across Victorian universities have to be urgently addressed.
Dr Sharman Stone, Federal Member for Murray says there are only 20 students at the University of Melbourne’s Dookie Campus finishing their Bachelor of Agriculture this year and there were only 55 new enrolments this year.

The 48,900 Murray electorate residents covered by private health insurance will be hard hit by the decision of Julia Gillard to break another promise and means test the rebate.

Plans to means test and so cut private health insurance rebates will earn Labor another $2.5 billion to cover their debts, but it will put many back in surgery queues.

Dr Sharman Stone, Federal Member for Murray reminded the public yesterday morning of the parliamentary House of Representatives Committee inquiry into Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD).
FASD is an umbrella term used to describe a group of conditions that may affect an unborn child when the expectant mother drinks alcohol.

Dr Sharman Stone, Federal Member for Murray says that differences in traffic laws in Victoria and New South Wales (NSW) can cause real confusion, leaving one with a hefty fine.

A recent report on Victoria’s food and fibre export performance released by the Department of Primary Industries (DPI) shows that Victoria is recovering from the drought.
